Synopsis:

As an experiment we brought three woman to the mudflats of Ameland which is known to be hunted by the witch Rixt of Oerd and decided to film them, and this is what happened….

HIGATA – An experimental dance film taking you on a journey into the depths of nature and our own nature. Where three dancers and two filmmakers loose themselves while being spellbound by the location where the island myth took place. Together we enter the ebb and flow of life, embracing near starvation, moving from a state of delirium into full surrender to nature while facing the darkness of our sub-bodies and merge together as one.
